The virtual world is a “non-place,” lacking an identity and history.
In this space, intense, isolated individualism prospers, expressed through a wide variety of technological devices.
In the virtual world, even a home, which has always been a symbol of intimacy and safety, becomes an empty shell. A simple, three-dimensional geometric body, an anonymous container, a space to pass through.
It is no longer inhabited by humanity, with its flowing relationships and emotions, rituals, habits, coming together, separating, joy and sadness.
Inhabiting the meta-home instead are avatars: digital alter egos that occupy the virtual world in the place of physical people.
Avatars as “strangers to themselves” that are able to exist in multiple places at once.

The project, loosely inspired by the title of the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale of Art – Foreigners Everywhere – is a two-part collection of 50 clips in 4K resolution with audio borrowed from video games.
